In depth

Verdict

COUNTISTER (NAP) made a race of it with Cap Soleil at Newbury on her UK debut and, though the winner disappointed next time, Nicky Henderson’s mare, who had top-class bumper form in France, is the one to beat in this. Speed Company won five times on the Flat up 1m2f but he’ll need to settle better than when fourth at Leicester if he is to win over timber. Clondaw Castle easily won a Huntingdon maiden last month and the third could give a boost to the form in the opener but he has to give 13lb to the selection. Tayzar can improve on a second at Market Rasen but this looks on the short side for De Rasher Counter.
