Verdict

Perfect Summer hasn't progressed as expected but drops back in trip after a second over 2m at Ripon. El Bravo is 12lb higher than when scoring over track and trip in June while Precision Strike is better on the all-weather, though he can race off the same mark as when winning at Wolverhampton three weeks ago. Outrageous Request needs further but Gran Maestro has claims off his current mark after going close at Thirsk a week ago. PIXIE CUT never looked like catching Sirvino when third at Hamilton last time but drops down a couple of grades for this and may well come out best.
