In depth

Verdict

Aerion Power missed out on a four-timer when struggling in the Britannia at Ascot and attempts a longer trip. Pirate King won on the all-weather at Lingfield back in January and drops down in distance along with Spanish Archer while Colony Queen is upped a couple of grades having landed a double with last month’s win at Carlisle. But MONTATHER has now won three of his four starts to date having scored at Chelmsford on his reappearance and Roger Varian’s charge has not stopped improving yet.
