        Verdict

        ORVAR didn’t arrive in particularly good form for last year’s renewal but still returned the 10/1 winner. He’s 4lb lower today with Oisin Murphy taking over the reins and another bold bid could be on the cards. He’s preferred to stablemate War Whisper but Tommy G has decent claims on his third in the consolation race for the Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood. The Daley Express was beaten only a neck at Windsor last time and beat Acclaim The Nation at Bath earlier but Roundhay Park has returned a losing favourite the last twice now. Laith Alareen rattled-up a four-timer last year and is not badly treated with a recent comeback run under his belt.
