In depth
Formwatch
Cromwell (IRE) Pulled up after breaking blood vessel last time but in good form before that, and recorded a couple of wins at Market Rasen. Every chance here if he is over his recent problem.
Carbury Cross (IRE) Lightly-raced, potentially useful novice who seems equally effective at a variety of courses and trips. Good win at Musselburgh on reappearance and may not have stopped his winning run yet.
Huis Clos II (FR) French import who has failed to complete in two runs over here so far. Stiff task again.
Ahraydoubleyou Fair third at Catterick last month but two poor efforts since and may be flattered by that form.
Baie des Singes Has failed to impress since good second on chasing debut in October. Yet to win a race and stable not in best of form.
Carraignamon (IRE) Only had two starts over hurdles, having showed plenty of promise in a couple of bumpers before that. Interesting prospect, though hasn't raced for a year so fitness a worry.
Far Dawn (USA) Decent hurdler and shaped with promise on chasing bow when third to the useful Whats Up Boys. Sure to strip fitter for that and definitely one for the shortlist.
General Custer (IRE) Second to A Piece Of Cake at Kelso in November reads well, but looks a tricky ride and was pulled up in only race since then. Probably best watched this time.
Percy Parkeeper Has been running in much better company than this in three starts over fences. Fair hurdler and wouldn't rule him out here, although would probably prefer a sharper track.
Westwinds Point-to-point winner who wasn't disgraced when fourth here on debut under rules. Could well improve, and another whose chance cannot be ruled out.
