Verdict

Jeer's C&D win in April came in an amateurs race and Veiled Applause has lost his way since finishing placed in a couple of better handicaps here at the start of the season. Dance For Julie and Dynamic Idol have claims and Harvey's Hope gets Paul Hanagan on board after winning over a longer trip at Redcar last Sunday. Plattsburgh's saddle slipped last time but he won at Brighton before that and Romeo Montague went close over C&D last month. However, in a wide-open contest a chance is taken on PLANETOID. He finished fifth in a decent maiden at Newmarket in May but the son of Galilieo could prove a different proposition over this longer trip on his first start in a handicap.
