    Verdict

Redcar winner Animato could only manage third at York last time while Captain Kane came up short attempting a four-timer when finishing behind runner-up Achnamara here. The latter has run below par in both subsequent starts while Charles St was still beaten a long way when second at Pontefract. FRANZ never threatened the progressive Savvy Knight when third at Hamilton but has been gelded since and Kevin Ryan’s charge gets another chance with plenty of scope for improvement.
