Quweto, Surprise Pension and SHIWAWA make the shortlist here, with Shiwawa, pulled up on the Flat last time out, taken to return to form on her hurdling bow. Quweto enjoyed the testing ground when scoring in emphatic fashion at Newcastle, but he may not have beaten much in that bumper, and this quicker surface may not be in his favour-he was beaten into fourth on fast ground on his debut. John Quinn has always felt that Surprise Pension had some potential, and this dual Flat winner won on his hurdling bow at Catterick, overcoming some trouble. Rated 59 on the Flat, he may show his real ability over obstacles and can go well despite his penalty. Triple bumper winner Shiwawa drifted alarmingly just before the start on his Flat debut before being pulled up at Southwell. However, his third behind Bensalem in his previous bumper at Sandown reads well, with the winner and the second winning next time. Provided the market doesn't suggest something is amiss, Shiwawa is taken to confirm that his bumper form is too strong for the opposition and this son of Halling can make a winning hurdling bow.
