Verdict

Ridgeway made a winning debut over hurdles here last month and there should be more to come. But conditions today are a concern for the five-year-old, who also has to give weight to his rivals with Scudamore fancied to get closer. Galahad Threepwood won twice over 1m4f on the Polytrack at Lingfield and placed over 1m6f on Turf at Salisbury last year but Largy Gift returns from a break making his hurdling debut and having a first run for new connections. Cartonne has claims if settling better than at Kelso but GINGER MAIL was going as well as any when falling two out at the same track earlier this month and is definitely improving.
