Verdict

Another chance goes to TRINCOMALEE in a competitive maiden. Lucy Wadham’s charge was below par when failing to land the odds at Leicester last month but earlier thirds at Sandown and Newbury is the stand-out form in this. Papa Tango Charly followed up a second at Ascot with runner-up spot at Newbury and rates a danger. The Brass Man won a Tipperary bumper last May for Mags Mullins and Tom George has done well with similar types. Ashtown Lad has joined the Skelton yard since winning a maiden point at Knockinroe in October while Nicky Henderson’s recent acquisition Glynn won a similar race at Portrush in May. Laxey has ability but was pulled up on his reappearance at Sandown and has had wind surgery since.
