Verdict

Theligny hasn’t run over the smaller obstacles in more than three years. Sultans Pride didn’t handle heavy going when on a hat-trick at Ayr in October and hasn’t raced since but Supakalanistic arrives in good form having won a jumpers’ bumper and placed on the Flat since winning a hurdle at Kempton in the autumn. Mr Scrumpy has disappointed the last twice but is only a pound higher than when scoring at Wetherby in October. Ashfield Paddy appeared to appreciate a return to hurdling at Wincanton but this can go to BIG BRESIL, who is the least exposed and was clear of the rest when runner-up to Flight Deck on his handicap debut at Bangor. Portstorm ran well in a Grade 2 novice event over 3m here last time but may not have the pace for this on a quicker surface.
