Verdict

Just Charlie is one to note for the future having missed the whole of last season. Godolphin's Port Alfred ended his first campaign in a moderate Wolverhampton handicap and will need to do better but the speedy Monumental Man can usually be relied on to get competitive. Red Baron was in cracking form last summer and looked to be on the way back when runner-up at Musselburgh though he could have done without a 6lb rise. The once very-useful Captain Dunne is sliding down the weights and grades but Green Monkey is going in the reverse direction and, having won three of his last four, will make a bold bid to continue the sequence. GO GO GREEN has won nine races and may not have finished yet as he was never beaten far in any of his races last year and will have come on for his recent run at Thirsk, his first since November, so he's given the nod in an open event.
