Verdict
Sir Mark Prescott's Jewel of India bids for a four-timer this evening and with George Duffield at the track, the omens look good. A mile is probably about as far as he'll get but he has been placed well by his trainer and could still be ahead of the handicapper. Lahberhorn beat a Henry Cecil hotpot in a Ripon maiden last time out although there were apparent excuses for the Cecil runner. He will need to improve in order to score here. Plymsole may represent each-way value on this occasion. Fifth to Green Line in a Newmarket handicap in May, he comes here a fresh horse. Mount Hesse has been disappointing but is at least at the right end of the handicap. Ettrick Water would probably prefer it softer.
