Verdict

Australian jockey Claire Lindop has made a good start to her career on these shores and she can add another win here with NOBELIX for compatriot trainer Jeremy Gask. A winner when last seen at Great Leighs in January, finishing clear of the good yardstick Clear Reef in second. Now a winner of eight of his 31 starts all told, the gelding likes quick ground and looks sure to run well off this mark of 79. Valmari races off a mark of 83, which is 6lb lower than his opening mark in March and this ex-Greek mare is one to watch in the betting, as is Red Wine who can be very good on a going day but it must be remembered the majority of his wins have come in big fields. Outlandish has been holding his form well, as has Grand Art who may still be fairly treated but he will need a decent pace throughout. Paint The Town Red will need to bounce back to form following a disappointing run at Newmarket, however in this tight finale it is Nobelix who is taken to win again.
