        Verdict

        Red Paladin is often slowly away but wasn't beaten far over this trip at Redcar last month and has won twice here over 7f. Rocket Ronnie hasn't won since 2013 but has dropped to a fair mark as a result and hinted at a revival at Redcar last time. Cliff is still a maiden but, after his comeback fourth over course and distance, has now run well twice here and is entitled to be thereabouts again, though NORVILLE is just preferred. Lee Smyth's Irish raider has only won over this trip on Polytrack so far but ran well behind Funding Deficit over 7f at Ayr last time, despite being trapped out wide. Mfiftythreedotcom is tried in a visor but has been well below par so far this season.
