Verdict

Darkening's head second to Red Avenger at Newmarket was a cracking effort. This trip clearly suits and the Godolphin colt should take all the beating but we're going to take him on with PENNY ROSE. This will be the filly's first try over 1m but her breeding suggests she'll enjoy the stiffer test of stamina and she certainly wasn't stopping when fourth in the Tattersalls Millions earlier this month. Ronaldhino is useful and had the re-opposing Ain't Got A Scooby behind when winning at Goodwood in August but he's more exposed than most of his rivals while Fat Gary didn't advertise his claims when last of four over 7f at Leicester.
