Verdict

Saint Segal has won a couple of lower grade events but was engaged in a handicap here yesterday where he would have had a better chance. BOOTHILL has won three of his last four, his only defeat coming against Jonbon in a Sandown Grade 1. He has a Grade 2 penalty for his victory in the Wayward Lad at Kempton but is taken to concede 5lb to Tommy's Oscar. Eight-times a winner over hurdles, Ann Hamilton's charge couldn't get close to Banbridge in a Grade 2 over fences at Cheltenham in November and was beaten into second by today's rival Since Day One in a Newcastle handicap but will be 19lb better off at the weights. The remaining pair have plenty to find.
