Verdict
A good field goes to post but IROQUOIS WARRIOR has more scope than most and is fancied to get the better of Sheriff Hutton and Georgian King amongst others. The selection has been off the track for some time now but that shouldn't be a concern for one from Ditcheat whilst his young pilot is improving all the time and is decent value for his claim. Iroquois Warrior took a hefty hit from the handicapper for the second of his two wins at Taunton but is only a pound higher than when second to a fair sort at Wincanton. Sheriff Hutton has already scored over course and distance and the return to racing on a firmer surface could see him make the frame again. He has better recent form to his name than Laertes and Hard Act To Follow who have been struggling to recapture their best and Fairoak Lad is another in search of redemption having returned a beaten favourite the last twice. Georgian King returns to hurdling after a couple of runs over fences and may benefit from the switch as may Leac An Scail although he didn't run at all badly on Boxing Day. Stripe Me Blue has yet to prove his stamina and hasn't won the races that he perhaps ought to have done but he's not out of an interesting race where the most interesting runner is Iroquois Warrior.
