Verdict

Not quite ladies first by MISS BOOTYLISHES can take the finale with Faldal and Head First others to find the shortlist. Andy Haynes' charge is just a 1lb out of the handicap but she is more than capable of acting upon the ground conditions and would not be inconvenienced by any further rain in the interim. A recent pipeopener at Southwell should have her spot on for this assignment. Faldal has Frankie Dettori booked which is something of a rarity on a hum-drum Sunday. The Falbrav filly won two races for Tom Dascombe and makes a debut for new connections this afternoon. Head First has the edge of racefitness over many. She is unproven on turf though has shown on Lingfield's polytrack that she gets further than this mile. Saturn Girl makes a first start for Michael Bell. She disappointed on her only previous experience of soft going. Paquerettza did not disgrace herself in a big handicap at York on her last run of the 2009 season. As a daughter of Dr Fong, there should be few excuses with regard to the going. Ajara has illustrious ownership in the form of Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes but a win at Wolverhampton isn't quite enough to earn a place in our starting eleven. Wiseman's Diamond was a credit to her trainer's skills last term. She improved by a grand total of 23lb since May of last year and has to defy a career high today. Miss Bootylishes has form on the surface and that is very appealing in the context of this affair.
