Verdict
Bannock makes his racecourse debut and, if strongly supported in the betting, could prove the biggest threat to FOREVERTHEOPTIMIST. The latter was headed close home over the minimum trip at Newcastle when third on his first start and that form looks rock-solid with the fourth-placed Ortea having won since. The remainder all have a bit to find with selection on the evidence of modest debuts, but no doubt there's more to come from J J Leary who made his debut in better company at this track a fortnight ago.
