In depth

Verdict

OUTSIDE THE RING was beaten 3 lengths by Singing Banjo in a point at Tattersalls Farm in December and the winner went on to complete a memorable double over the banks course at Punchestown last week. Neil McKnight's charge had earlier completed his own double and has to be the selection. He holds Ballyearl on their run at Portrush but the youngster Vaucelet just failed to land a maiden on the latter course in October and is with the right man to get the best out of him. Dento Des Obeaux hasn't been performing badly in similar company while Tareeshar has run poorly in two of his last three but would have a definite chance at his best which includes a second to Billaway at Downpatrick.
