Verdict

Baby's Hot has yet to finish in a place in six starts over fences but would probably have done so but for being brought down at Thurles last week. Tarquinius doesn't win very often but has slipped to a fair mark and ran his best race for some time at Punchestown last month. Days Ahead was having only his third start over fences when beating what looked a fair field of beginners at Tramore and though he's been done no favours by the assessor there's more to come and he should be in the mix. Prince Of Leisure has been plagued by injuries over the years and hasn't done as well as expected but he looked in very good form when scoring at Kilbeggan in August and his latest defeat came over hurdles. With Ben Dalton able to claim 5lb the veteran should get competitive though TALAB looks the one to beat. Dessie Hughes sent him to Cheltenham for an amateurs' event last month and he ran very well to finish third. He's yet to win over fences but this looks a good opportunity and Mark Enright's claim is a bonus.
