In depth

Verdict

Both Catalpa Sail and Eastern Light have been very disappointing after looking certainties to lose their maiden tags quickly. The former didn't appear to enjoy the yielding ground when favourite over 7f at Sligo last time while David Wachman's filly, whose overall form is probably better, has been finding nothing in the closing stages of her races. Wachman also has a nicely-bred newcomer in the shape of Stage Master entered and it would be no surprise to see the son of Johannesburg get involved. NATALISA began her career with a close second to Inca Princess at Fairyhouse but became unruly in the stalls when beaten a very long way when short-priced favourite at Naas on her only subsequent start. She is much better than she showed that day and gets the vote to retrieve losses.
