In depth

Verdict

Gala Ball must have shown someone something on his debut at Fairyhoise as he started favourite at Thurles last month but never really looked like winning. Jack Slade may do better on this slightly better ground but Ian Ferguson does very well in bumpers here and the very impressive Kirkistown winner Sunny West is definitely one to keep an eye on. DANIELLE'S JOURNEY was beaten a head on her debut here in November and was sent to Catterick for her next start a month later but was again beaten narrowly. She's been given a break and can get off the mark.
