Verdict

Degenerous was sent to Catterick to land a bumper then slipped up when still in touch in a much better contest at Punchestown. Storm Away scored over this trip on the Flat and will probably be suited by further in time though she made a decent start over timber when runner-up at Ballinrobe, attempting to concede 10lb to the winner. WHAT LIES AHEAD won a Punchestown bumper in February and a Flat race at Ballinrobe last month. She's only had six races and with further progress likely should be good enough to make a successful hurdling debut. Hard Fought ran her best race so far behind Discover Wexford at Killarney while Pale Face found 2m5f beyond her at Tramore after a much better run over this trip at Roscommon.
