Verdict

The debut of ENVOI ALLEN over fences has been hugely anticipated and Gordon Elliott's star has frightened the opposition away. Unbeaten in eight starts between the flags, in bumpers and over timber including four Grade 1 races. He landed the Ballymore at Cheltenham in March and should have a nice canter round before tackling bigger targets. January Jets, a winning point-to-pointer, did well to score over hurdles at Galway and can't have been right when well beaten in a Tipperary Grade 3 last time. He should make a better chaser than hurdler while Moyross, another winner between the flags, has chasing experience which could see him reach a place. The selection's stable companion Moratorium is one to note for the future having been off since April last year.
