Verdict

Lake Champlain has a double penalty for victories here and at Gowran but he arrives in superb form having won at Dundalk a couple of weeks ago. Crocosmia was around seven lengths behind at Gowran but was staying on and softer ground and a pull in the weights should enable her to get closer. Tiliver had shown promise in France before making a successful start for Alan Fleming at Ballinrobe where he was left clear at the last but would have won anyway. MISSY TATA has only raced in very testing ground in France and her latest close third at Auteuil in August has ben boosted by the winner, who has gone on to finish runner-up in a Grade 2 - her allowances can see her gain her first victory here. Overtures, a stablemate of the latter, is well held by both Lake Champlain and Tiliver.
