Verdict
The four-year-old Time Machine wouldn't be without a chance on his two runs behind Saponara in May but he was beaten when falling at Tipperary in June and ran moderately on the Flat at Galway. Hamalka battled to victory over Fleeting Moment at Bellewstown but will need to do better in this higher grade and AUENSCHUTZE gets the vote. James Lambe's charge produced his best effort when just beaten by the prolific The Fonze at Down Royal in June and would take some beating in that kind of form. Mighty Whitey won a couple of minor events at Sligo but disappointed there on Thursday and needs to bounce back but Star Wood ran well on the Flat at Galway and would take this comfortably on his hurdling form of a couple of years ago.
