Adulterated, who cost 100,000gns, slipped up in his only bumper start in April but has a smart pedigree for jumping. Free Ranger continues to frustrate and was a beaten favourite for the sixth successive time at Roscommon earlier this month. However, that was his first start since March and he didn't get the run of the race. JOE THE CROW was making his hurdling debut that day and looked like winning when taking up the running three out. He faded in the closing stages but, with that under his belt, looks the one to beat. A Place Apart ran his best race over hurdles when runner-up in a handicap on that same Roscommon card but is now 0-21 in career starts. Ar Eagla Na Heagla was narrowly beaten twice at Sligo in mid-summer before a poor run on the Flat.
