In depth

Verdict

Glasson Lad never won a race under Rules for Ferdy Murphy but landed a point-to-point for new connections at Lingstown, while LOCH DARA has been very lightly raced and was making his debut under Rules when successful in a hunter chase at Wexford. He has a penalty to carry but beat a decent yardstick in Ibetellingyoualie so can follow up. Davyroy would almost certainly have won at Loughanmore in October but for falling at the last and made no mistake when scoring at Maralin last month. Mattara didn't manage to reach the first two in 22 starts under Rules but made a successful start in a point-to-point at Toomebridge while Ian Ferguson gets plenty of winners here and James, who has been quite impressive in his two point-to-point victories, looks a big threat.
