Verdict

Dumbarton ran on the sand at Laytown a couple of weeks ago and can do better than he's shown in two starts over hurdles. Musawama has done his Flat winning on Polytrack and may not be suited by today's ground but Around The Clock has run his best races in testing conditions. Westhaven continues to frustrate but looks certain to be in the firing-line once again though the concession of 17lb, which includes Ben Dalton's claim, to FAUSTINA PIUS looks beyond him as John Queally's filly has looked as though a first success was imminent on her last two starts in slightly better company.
