Verdict
Crystal Belle caught the eye on her debut at Roscommon but didn't make the expected progress on her next start at Wexford. Jim Bolger's newcomer Gan Locht is a half-sister to a winning miler and out of a mare who scored in the USA over that trip and Dermot Weld's Tafjeer is out of a mare who won over middle-distances so she should be suited by this trip. Roman Flame showed improvement when switched to this surface last week but POINSETTIA is likely to start at short odds here and can justify them after a reasonable run behind stablemate Luxurious at Wexford when the remainder were well beaten off.
