Verdict

Kipling was a beaten favourite in a lucrative handicap at the Curragh after his maiden victory but was due to run at Fairyhouse yesterday. Eaglemount had Golden Valour less than a length behind when successful here last week but is up 8lb and the latter can take revenge. Curious Bride has been hit with a massive 16lb rise after an impressive victory at Cork but WAR DIARY, who makes his all-weather debut, has generally raced in much stronger company and was attempting to give the winner a stone when six-length runner-up at Gowran.
