Verdict

Future Impact showed enough promise on his debut at the Curragh to suggest there will be an early-season maiden to be won though experience may not count quite as much on this surface as on turf. Tommy Stack has been invincible since the turf season began and his Aussie Rules colt Unlikely Hero looks sure to be fancied to make a winning start. Gary Lyons does well with early types here so his selected pair of Red Army Blues and Suspect Device should be noted in the market though both could meet their match in Dermot Weld's CATALPA SAIL, a son of the speedy Modigliani out of a mare who scored over 6f as a juvenile.
