Verdict

The last five winners have been drawn low and three-year-olds have a good record so ALFREDO ARCANO fits the criteria. Twice a winner here including over the trip, he was finishing strongly over the minimum behind My Good Brother and Mo Henry here in September and Oisin Orr's claim is a bonus. He can take care of the runner-up, who didn't act on heavy ground last time, but Ice Cold In Alex looks a danger as he's won here and finished a close second in his only other start on the track. Rivellino is 8-21 on the all-weather including a victory on the sand at Laytown last time and Colin Keane has ridden him to victory before. There are plenty of other threats including five-times Turf winner Ducky Mallon, who has only raced here once, while the top three on the card are all course and distance winners with Geological the best drawn.
