It's a surprise to see Cheerful Giver running in a claimer as he's been racing in Group company for much of the season. Jim Bolger tries him in blinkers here and will be hoping they have the desired effect. Class Monitor is also in blinkers for the first time but she's been beaten at a similar level in the UK and it was a poor race when she finished runner-up at Nottingham. MR RED CLUBS has been a beaten favourite on his two latest runs which followed a fine effort behind Nephrite at the Curragh. This is a drop in class and he's performed with credit on the track so gets the nod. Angels Art hasn't been beaten far in decent company and her allowance should ensure a good run.
