Verdict

Mere Accountant won a barrier trial here and though beaten ten lengths by Dame Kiri on soft ground at Naas found 6f too sharp. The winner's yard is represented by RED CARPET, by Galileo out of a Group 1 winner and a full-sister to the smart Bluegrass, and Harzand's half-sister Wedding Bouquet, who stayed on nicely from the rear in the race won by Tarawa at Leopardstown. Dermot Weld trains the winner and his Tanaiyla just failed to hold on in a track and trip nursery three weeks ago. Colin Keane rides Bataan, who was running on over a mile at Leopardstown and her stable also run the Kodiac filly Hypnotise Me, whose dam has produced winners with both offspring to race.
