Verdict
Calm Bay comes out best on official ratings but hasn't been in the best of form and may have to settle for a place. He finished behind Sampers on their latest effort here last month but has enough of a pull in the weights to reverse the form. Hot Sand has been showing very good speed over longer trips and though he's never raced over a sprint distance he led for a long way over 7f here in October when just touched off by Iron Major. GODDESS OF LIGHT landed a nursery at Lingfield on her final juvenile start and, after a light campaign on turf this year, she reverts to her favourite surface with a bright chance of adding to that sole victory.
