In depth

Verdict

Tom Dooley is the only course and distance winner though he's become a bit inconsistent. DINKY INTY won a Galway handicap from this mark in the summer and showed up well for a long way on her return to this track last month. This isn't the toughest of handicaps and she can gain her first victory on the track. Goodnite Irina was only caught in the dying strides over track and trip a month ago and can progress enough to get into contention again. The lightly-raced Fortuities arrives from the UK on a good mark and Gary Halpin will ensure he gets a good ride but it's difficult to see Pass The Ball having the pace for this as he completed a four-timer in the summer in point-to-points and over jumps. The veteran Rigid Rock is now rated 38 and hasn't run since April but he's better than that mark suggests and connections may attempt to take advantage of his massive tumble down the weights.
