In depth

Verdict

With five previous C&D winners due to face the starter, though looks a trappy start for punters. ROMEO'S ON FIRE finished just behind Sweet Rhythm over a mile here last week and re-opposes on identical terms. But Lee Smyth's charge has the better draw today and, certain to be suited by the drop in distance, gets a tentative vote to return to winning ways under Rory Cleary. Mountain Coral is starting to look well handicapped again and top weight Duke Of Rutherford deserves a change of luck. In first-time blinkers, Supercharged may prove the pick of Ger Lyons' pair but he has been disappointing of late.
