In depth

Verdict

Above The Law won on his handicap debut over the course and distance in May then followed up on soft ground at Navan. He reappeared under a 12lb higher rating last month and ran well for a long way behind Antiquus. Breezolini had her first start for new connections last week and led for a long way over that 7f trip, which proved beyond her. Never A Quarrel arrives from the UK with a Polytrack victory behind her though that was in a lowly handicap at Wolverhampton. Gallena caught Inishmot Duchess in the dying strides over 6f last month with Catwilldo a close third and the winner is expected to confirm the form on only slightly worse terms. Big Typhoon rarely runs over the minimum trip these days, though his only success came over the course and distance, while La Canaada has run poorly on her two visits here though she has dropped to a very lowly mark. TIMES IN ANATEFKA had looked a sure-fire future winner after two fine runs in November and was a short-priced favourite the following month but was never happy and disappointed. She's better than that and can gain compensation.
