In depth

Verdict

DANZ GIFT (NAP) and Pillar finished 1-2 here on Friday with the former ending a frustrating sequence to score by a couple of lengths. He has a 6lb penalty to overcome but looked on top of his game and should confirm the form. Gopsies Daughter, who finished sixth, may get closer though Mo Henry looks a bigger threat. He hasn't won since last summer but has slipped to a low mark as a consequence and he showed plenty of dash on his last visit here a month ago. Master Bond hasn't won for a very long time but can't go any lower in the weights and a change of scenery may bring about a revival.
