Verdict

RED RANNAGH will take some beating here if producing the same level of form when an excellent second to Black Sea at the Curragh where he started 100/1. There should be more to come and he gets the vote over Hasselnott, who couldn't handle the well-backed Sevenleft at Limerick but had better fancied rivals behind. Oscar Dominguez is a half-brother to winning hurdler Shield and was staying on over a mile here last month while Alphonsus made a decent start at Leopardstown and will have learnt plenty. David Marnane's Dandy Man gelding Mostawfee could probe best of the newcomers and is worth a market check with Pat Smullen booked. Aspen Mountain ran well for a long way over a mile at Gowran and should improve enough to get involved.
