In depth

Verdict

Irish Acclaim and WAR HERO are course and distance winner rated on the same mark, a long way clear of the remainder. The former has been racing in handicap company on Turf since scoring over 6f here in March while the latter gets the nod having won over this trip at Down Royal last month before a moderate run over 6f at Naas. James McAuley supports these claimers and will know how he stands with Meishar, still a maiden but only beaten a neck on his only start here in March. He looks better than stable companion Robert Guiscard while Facethepuckout was well beaten by the selection here in November.
