In depth

Verdict

Rummaging was in tremendous form at this time a year ago and has returned to his best, completing a double when strongly fancied three weeks ago. He's up 9lb for his last victory and Toccata Blue, who was narrowly beaten by him a month ago, should gain his revenge on 7lb better terms. Seanie was just behind the latter when they occupied the places behind Regulation last time but there were only four runners and the form may be misleading. IRON MAJOR had been running well on Turf all summer and returned to Polytrack with a very strong effort behind Queen Of The Sand, where he was only caught in the dying strides over a mile, so he looks the one to be on. Fleet Captain went up a massive 11lb for finishing runner-up to Doc Holliday but it didn't prevent him going one better a week later and he's been raised another 6lb.
