Verdict

Luisant, who won this in 2009 from 15lb lower, has kept top company since and generally performs with credit. He must be on the short-list despite a big weight as must the three-year-old The Reaper, whose two career victories have come over the minimum trip here and who had Maarek behind in a very tough Navan handicap in June. Mark Johnston has an excellent record when sending handicappers to Ireland and Below Zero, a winner on Polytrack at Wolverhampton, should go well but it's fellow Yorkshire raider BAJAN TRYST who gets the nod as he beat Luisant in this a year ago and will be fresher than most having had just one run this year at York in May. It's hard to know what to make of So Stylish as she's only had three runs, two of them in Listed company, but she could easily be a blot on this handicap.
