Balmont Mast returned from a long break to land a Navan maiden last week but this is much tougher. Romeo's On Fire does all of his winning on the all-weather, including at Laytown last time, and though still well treated has a very inexperienced pilot on board. BIG BAD LILY had Liberty Island just over a length behind over the C&D last month and, though the runner-up has a fine chance of reversing the form on these revised terms, the winner is progressing nicely and can complete a hat-trick. Johnstown Lad beat Primalova a short-head in this a year ago but neither have shown much lately while Ucanchoose is held by Liberty Island on their run at Down Royal in July.
