Verdict
French Company gained a deserved first victory a couple of weeks ago when holding off Hidden Land, who runs in the opener. He has a 6lb rise to overcome but it will be a surprise if he isn't in the firing-line. ALDENTE was beaten nine lengths in that race but there are reasons to believe he can reverse the form. A course and distance winner in 2020, he was having his first start since December that year and was noted making steady late headway. Clueless Hill is having his 27th start and has never raced over a trip this far but he arrives in good form having stayed on over the shorter trip last time and should be thereabouts. Conor Hogan is back on the same mark as when successful in 2020 and will be better for his run in December, his first since April. Colin Keane's presence on Baby Bubbles, who has had three runs in maidens, is intriguing.
