In depth

Verdict

ATTICUS FINCH looked certain to lose his maiden tag when building up a lead over the C&D last month but was caught on the line. His experience of the surface should be enough to see off the challenge of Rasputin, who ran three times at Ayr last summer for Michael Dods. Merkel showed that her time is near when runner-up over the C&D last month though if it comes to a battle she doesn't look the type to buckle down. Elegant Sisi wasn't far behind in that latter event on her debut and with improvement likely can make her presence felt.
