In depth
Verdict
PURE ACTION has had three runs over a mile on this track and hasn't been beaten far. This shouldn't take much winning and normal progress would see him difficult to beat in what looks a very poor maiden. Robe Of Honour makes his belated racecourse debut and Michael Halford's beautifully-bred Shamardal gelding would only need to be half-decent to make a successful start. Tony Martin had a strong hand at the early stage so the fact the he relies on the newcomer Share The Honour, another son of Shamardal, could be significant. Nulife's only placed effort came in a bumper so he should do better over hurdles.
